Training
The AI Nurses Network offers a number of training opportunities to upskill nurses on artificial intelligence.
Innovation Scholars: This is a free online training programme, provided by King’s College London, that covers a range of topics in artificial intelligence. The courses on AI are specifically tailored for healthcare to help healthcare professionals such as nurses learn the fundamentals of AI. The table below outlines the training courses on AI and related topics (pillars 1 and 3) which are free for you to enrol in and complete at your own pace. The knowledge and skills provided by these courses align with NHS England’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Healthcare Technologies Capability Framework.

Bespoke AI workshops: We will be running hands-on, in-person AI workshops tailored specifically for nurses throughout 2025 and beyond. These are designed to help nurses learn about preparing a digital health dataset for predictive modelling, choosing appropriate algorithms and other AI techniques to apply to the data to develop an AI model, and how to validate prediction models.
Please sign up to the AI Nurses Network newsletter to find out more about when and where these workshops will take place. The dates, times, location and plan for each workshop will be posted here when they become available, enabling you to book a place on these AI workshops.
